Meeting with the saints is a blessing anytime, but to meet with them while away from home is a sweet experience. Fellowship with those of like precious faith is encouraging. Meeting men and women in other areas who are dedicated to the Lord and His Cause lifts the spirit and gives us perspective on both struggles and blessings others face.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” – 1 Peter 5:8, 9
About Steven Deaton
After four years in the Air Force, I began preaching in 1995. Most of my work has been done in Texas, Kentucky, and North Carolina (where I presently live with my wife and grown children). I began my labor with the Newton church of Christ, in Newton, NC, in September 2020. Check out the church’s website and podcast below.
This site was originally FindTheChurch.com, created by Thomas Lahman. After maintaining it for 20 years, he kindly entrusted it to me in 2022. My hope is this site will serve the brethren well as they travel or relocate to a new area. Please reach out to me on the contact page with any questions.
